The chances are that no non-custom-made mandibular advancement device whether our SNORING-GONE device or one from our competitors will work for you if your jaw is positioned a significant way forwards or backwards.

You must not use one of these devices if you have loose teeth, loose caps, bridge work… or suffer from generally unhealthy teeth or gums.

They are also not suitable for children or those who wear dentures due to a significant number of missing teeth.

If you have any doubts at all, we recommend that you have a word with your dentist before you purchase one of our products. Then, if you do go ahead, it is important that our instructions for use are followed carefully.

	1	Ensure the device is the correct way up. This is determined by looking at it from the front. Compare the thickness above and below the air vents. The thicker more shaped portion denotes the top. This goes against your upper teeth.
	2	Put it into your mouth, gently working your teeth into the grooves so that they sit comfortably. The device’s flexibility will allow it to take up the correct width to match your jaw.
	3	You should now feel that your jaw is being held a bit forwards.
	4	You should still always have the impression that you would have more forward jaw movement possible if you did not have the device in your mouth.
	5	Keep just a comfortable pressure on the device with your teeth.
	6	If you find you tend to eject the device out of your mouth when asleep, just persevere. Your brain simply needs to learn to get comfortable with the idea of it being there.
	7	You might find it helpful initially to get comfortable wearing it in your mouth when a suitable opportunity arises whilst awake, alone, and doing other activities so you are not really thinking about it.
	8	You may find at first that you are producing an increased amount of saliva… this is because your mouth thinks you are putting food into it! This effect will soon lessen.
	9	Always clean properly with a toothbrush and/or rinse well in hot water after use. Keep the device safe and dirt-free in the storage box provided when not in use.

This product being supplied from the United Kingdom is subject to that country’s 'Customer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000'. These regulations are there to primarily protect the interests of you the purchaser. They are also designed to give us, the sellers of the goods, a degree of protection also.

Under the terms of the regulations, the purchaser is protected as follows: If the goods are unwanted, they can be returned within 7 days of receipt. They should be returned in the original packaging where possible together with full contact details of the purchaser.

Under the same regulations, we the sellers have our interests safeguarded as we are unable to resell an oral device that has been used. So, due to the intimate oral nature of the product and for obvious reasons of hygiene and safety, you will need to assess the product before opening the transparent sealed bag that it is supplied in.

Removal of and/or tampering with the hygiene seal on the polythene bag or opening the bag in any other way indicates your acceptance of the product as being suitable for your requirements. It will be assumed that an opened bag means that the product has been tried or used. This action therefore cancels the option to return it.

This aspect of the regulations is understandable when you think whether you, as a purchaser would like to be buying an oral device that might well have been used by someone else previously.

So, you must satisfy yourself that the product is what you expected it to be, before you open the polythene bag!

We make no claims that the SNORING-GONE device is comparable with or better than a custom-made splint. It is however one way of determining whether such a mandibular advancement device might work for you, the purchaser, before going to the expense of ordering a custom-made splint. However, as the SNORING-GONE device itself will work for many purchasers perfectly satisfactorily, in the end this might not be considered necessary.

It is our understanding that a mandibular advancement splint can generally only be purchased from a supplier within the USA when confirmation has been obtained from a doctor that the snorer does not suffer from sleep apnea. It is equally our understanding that this restriction does not apply in the case of the SNORING-GONE device as it is supplied direct from the United Kingdom that has different regulatory requirements. It is sold purely under the auspices of the regulations and laws of the United Kingdom.

Due to their personal knowledge of your own situation, the recommendations of your doctor or dentist must always take precedence over any opinions we have stated here.

Whilst the material of manufacture of the SNORING-GONE device has been approved by the FDA, the FDA itself has not had any input into the statements contained within this literature about the device itself. Neither do these statements make any claims as to the diagnosis, treatment, cure or prevention of any disease directly or indirectly related to snoring.

By marketing the SNORING-GONE device, we are endeavouring to assist people at a distance to alleviate the unsociable and inconvenient condition of snoring. Equally, we take the assumption in return that any purchaser of the device is an adult. Also that, as an adult, any user of the device is responsible enough to take care with the use of the device and act on any excessive discomfort that just might be caused by the device on the teeth, gums or jaw… by removing it from the mouth immediately.
